Microsoft’s annual CES keynote — its last, according to the company — was light on product announcements, but it did demonstrate how Kinect can transform traditional TV into a social, interactive experience. Microsoft also announced a new partnership with News Corp to bring Fox News Channel, FOX, IGN and The Wall Street Journal apps to Xbox. And it updated some sales numbers: Xbox has now sold 66 million consoles worldwide, Xbox Live has reached 40 million members (the largest social entertainment network ever) and Kinect has sold 18 million sensors.
