It’s more Bill Nye the Science Guy. (Bill! Bill! Bill!)

The six-episode series The End is Nye premieres Aug. 25 on Peacock.

An acclaimed science educator, engineer, author and inventor, Bill Nye enters the most epic worldwide global disasters imaginable – both natural and man-made – and then demystifies them using science to illustrate how we can endure, alleviate and even prevent them in The End is Nye.

Each 45-minute episode delves headfirst into the mystery and danger of a single threat. Every disaster provides thrills, but it also provides hope and a path forward — a scientific blueprint for surviving whatever comes our way.

“The End is Nye is a relationship show — it’s about our relationship with nature and how it can end in total disaster. It’s also about how science can help that relationship to survive and thrive,” said Brannon Braga, the show’s writer, director and ep, in a statement. “Yes, The End is Nye is terrifying, but our ultimate goal is to boost human confidence with a welcome jolt of optimism about the future and scientific understanding.”

In addition to Nye, each episode also features a brief cameo by longtime science advocate and series co-executive producer Seth MacFarlane.

“Right now, our world is a very scary place, and yet full of opportunities to make life better for all of us— for everyone on Earth. Speaking of Earth, the big idea behind The End is Nye is that for the first time in the history of our planet, we humans can control our fate,” said Nye, who also serves as writer, ep and host. “We can see the potential for these overwhelming disasters, and we have the means to avoid them. With science, we can change the world.”
