Big Brother Is a Cross-Platform Summer Hit

Big Brother is a bona fide crossover hit.

The series reportedly bests every streaming series in engagement across all platforms, including the latest season of Netflix’s Stranger Things, which has 8.05 billion minutes watched, according to Nielsen Streaming Data from July 6 to Aug. 28.

Viewers have already watched almost 8.3 billion minutes of Season 24 on CBS, Paramount+ and the CBS app/CBS.com, according to Nielsen linear viewing and Paramount internal data, for the first nine weeks of the season.

This number includes live feeds from the Big Brother house, which are only accessible on Paramount+, as well as full episodes that are available for streaming and broadcast.

“Big Brother is the original cross-platform reality series, and 24 seasons later it’s still generating large audiences and engagement numbers across our CBS and Paramount platforms,” said Kelly Kahl, president of CBS Entertainment, in a statement. “This data speaks loudly to the passion for the franchise and how the power of broadcast television with strong streaming partners can aggregate an audience.”
