Better Call Saul Season 6 Trailer Sees Saul Breaking Bad

By Jessica Lerner

Jimmy McGill’s transformation into Walter White’s criminal attorney Saul Goodman is almost complete in the first trailer for the sixth and final season of Better Call Saul.

Better Call Saul will return Monday, April 18 with two episodes on AMC and AMC+. As Adweek previously reported, the final season will be rolled out in two parts with the first seven episodes beginning April 18 and culminating with the series’ final six episodes beginning July 11.

Full of familiar faces and sights from Breaking Bad, the trailer shows how Saul’s ties to the cartel have led him to become infamous, and with multiple threats closing in, it’s difficult to imagine all of the characters surviving the final season. And if we didn’t already know Saul survives, we’d definitely be worried about his safety.

Season 6 follows Jimmy McGill’s (Bob Odenkirk) complex path and transition into becoming Saul and his complicated relationship with Kim (Rhea Seehorn), who is dealing with her own existential crisis. Meanwhile, Mike (Jonathan Banks), Gus (Giancarlo Esposito), Nacho (Michael Mando), and Lalo (Tony Dalton) are caught up in a deadly game of cat and mouse.

Fans will have waited two years for answers by the time the season premieres. Season 6 was set to premiere in 2021, but production was delayed, first due to the pandemic, and then, in July, after Odenkirk suffered a heart attack.
