Apple TV+ Service Restored Following Widespread Monday Outage

If you noticed some of your Apple apps weren’t working earlier today, you weren’t the only one. According to Apple Support Systems, several Apple services were down for multiple hours on Monday—including Apple TV+—leading thousands of users to experience service outages.

Other services affected by the Monday outage included iMessage, iTunes Store, Apple Music, Podcasts, Radio, Apple Fitness, and Apple Care. According to Bloomberg Business reporter Mark Gurman, Apple’s corporate and retail systems were down as well. “In addition to Apple’s online services—Music, Maps, Podcasts and more facing outages—I’m told Apple’s corporate and retail internal systems are down too, limiting remote work and retail operations like product pick-ups and repairs,” Gurman tweeted.

Minutes before this item was published, Apple updated its Systems Status page, including that its technical issues have been resolved.

Apple did not comment on the cause of the systems outage, other than to acknowledge that it was aware of the situation.
