Amazon Discounting Prime to Celebrate Transparent

By Karen Fratti

Amazon is all about celebrating Transparent’s Emmy wins on Sunday by giving everyone a chance to enjoy it. Starting Friday, Amazon will be discounting Amazon Prime all day Friday, cutting the cost of a yearly subscription to $67. Michael Paull, vice president of digital video for Amazon, is all about sharing the love:

This has been an incredibly exciting year—with the Golden Globes wins in January and now twelve nominations and five Primetime Emmy wins. We are thrilled to celebrate Transparent with our customers by offering a Prime discount. Congratulations again to Jill Soloway, Jeffrey Tambor and the cast and crew of Transparent for making such a beautiful show, and to our customers—enjoy!

It’s also a good chance to watch other Amazon originals like Red Oak, Catastrophe, and the New Yorker Presents. The second season of Transparent premieres Dec. 4. Set your alarm, the discount is only offered from 12:00 a.m. ET and end at 11:59 p.m. PT
