Sunday’s “60 Minutes” was devoted entirely to Ed Bradley. It was simply fantastic. And not just because it was dedicated to the passing of a journalist. A simple memorial hour of “greatest clips” would have been sufficient. Instead, “60 Minutes” pulled off a celebration. I came away from it with a full sense of the man, something I didn’t have before. I have more respect for him than ever. I only wish I knew as much about him while he was still alive. Mr. Bradley was a bon vivant, and “60 Minutes” absolutely let that part of him shine. And if the end doesn’t give you chills – and make you smile – well, nothing’s going to. Thank you, “60 Minutes” for such an outstanding tribute to Mr. Bradley. And thank you, Mr. Bradley, for all you did for journalism, music and understanding.
