This was the year that Instagram and BuzzFeed came into their own, Snapchat and Vine started making noise—and fans of Arrested Development won. Meanwhile, thanks to the rise of native ads, publishers old and new are tapping a whole new source of revenue. In between, there were games to be played— many, many games.
