Urban Librarians Unite to Host a 24-Hour Read-In

NYPL 42nd StUrban Librarians Unite will host a “read-in” to support the New York Public Library, the Queens Library, and the Brooklyn Public Library. This event will feature 24 hours of continuous reading from five authors and members of the public.

According to the organization’s announcement, the “read-in” will take place on the plaza of the New York Public Library’s Stephen A. Schwarzman Building. The start time has been scheduled for 4 p.m. on June 4th.

Family story time will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 5th. At 1 p.m. on June 5th, elected officials and library executives will come together to rally for an increase in funding.
