Dr. Thorpe wrote the story and Aphee Messer created the illustrations for a Donald Trump-inspired picture book entitled The Grump Who Sacked Greatland. The Dr. Seuss-inspired project was posted online on the UpWorthy website.
Here’s an excerpt: “We elected a leader who wouldn’t prepare. And to make matters worse, he did not even care. Mr. Harold J. Grump was the name of this chump, but most people who knew him just called him ‘the Grump.'”
The Harvard Book Store has made a hardcover edition of this book for sale online. Throughout this election season, several Donald Trump-themed books have been created including Donald Trump and the Wig of Evil by Guy Larsen, Winners Aren’t Losers by Donald Trump (ghostwritten by Jimmy Kimmel), and A Child’s First Book of Trump by Michael Ian Black.
