The Late Show host Stephen Colbert made an appearance yesterday at the Republican National Convention. The Wall Street Journal reports that he went on stage channeling the Hunger Games character Caesar Flickerman and launched “the 2016 Republican National Hungry for Power Games.”
Fans of Suzanne Collins’ popular young adult trilogy know Caesar Flickerman to be the Master of Ceremonies and commentator of Panem’s yearly Hunger Games competition. In the movie franchise, this character is portrayed by Oscar-nominated actor Stanley Tucci.
