Sebastian Mallaby Wins the 2016 FT & McKinsey Business Book of the Year Award

Alan Greenspan Biography (GalleyCat)Sebastian Mallaby won the 2016 Financial Times and McKinsey Business Book of the Year for The Man Who Knew. Mallaby earned a £30,000 (about $37,326.60) prize, and the other shortlisted authors received £10,000 (about $12,443.10).

According to the press release, “the biography of one of the titans of recent financial history brilliantly shows the subtlety and complexity of Alan Greenspan’s legacy. The award recognises the book that provides the most compelling and enjoyable insight into modern business issues.”

Past award winners include Martin Ford (2015), Thomas Piketty (2014), and Brad Stone (2013). We’ve posted the entire 2016 short list below.
