Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling may take on roles in the A Wrinkle in Time film. The story for this adaptation project comes from the first installment of Madeleine L’Engle’s Time quintet.

They are aided on their quest by a trio of supernatural beings, Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who and Mrs. Which.”
According to Variety, Ava DuVernay has signed on as the director and Jennifer Lee has come on board as the screenwriter. Witherspoon and Kaling are in talks to play Mrs. Whatsit and Mrs. Who respectively. They would join a cast that already includes Oprah Winfrey who has been confirmed to play Mrs. Which. (via The A.V.
