Publishers Weekly reported: “Random House Children’s Books is discontinuing the frontlist publishing program of Berkeley-based Tricycle Press, the 18-year-old children’s book imprint. As part of the change, v-p and publisher Nicole Geiger and her four-person editorial team will leave the company on the 31st as well.”

Tricycle Press’ list includes Moon Child by Nadia Krilanovich, Mommy, Mama, and Me by Leslea Newman, and What the World Eats by Faith D’Aluisio.

In 2002, a Massachusetts school used Tricycle’s King & King in its second grade curriculum. Two parents filed a lawsuit, claiming the book provided sexual education without parental notification.
