Now, Penguin Random House employees and authors can acquire a 2017 membership to PEN America for half the cost. The publishing house’s staff members and writers have until December 31 to sign up.

Suzanne Nossel, the executive director of PEN America, gave this statement in the press release: “Writers, editors and others linked to publishing have come forward out of a sense that the rights and freedoms that underpin their work may be in peril. We are delighted and inspired that Penguin Random House has offered them such a powerful way to become directly involved in defense of these liberties.”
