Paul Auster Novel Coming to the Stage

The book will be adapted by playwright Duncan Macmillan and will include a high-tech production when the curtains open in Manchester and London in 2017. The Guardian has the scoop:

It is the first theatre show originated by 59 Productions, whose projects have included the 2012 Olympics opening ceremony, the V&A exhibition David Bowie Is and the sound-and-light spectacular Deep Time at this year’s Edinburgh international festival.

The detective novel is about a thriller writer who himself begins involved in an investigation. The title is the first in the three-part series The New York Trilogy.
