Over 200,000 Copies of The Girl in the Spider’s Web Have Sold

The Girl in The Spider's WebOver 200,000 copies of The Girl in the Spider’s Web, the fourth installment of the Millennium series, have been sold in the first week. Alfred A. Knopf, an imprint of Penguin Random House, has already ordered four additional printings.

The book was released on August 27. Swedish writer David Lagercrantz was brought on to continue this popular crime fiction series following the passing of the late Stieg Larsson.

According to an announcement from the publisher, “there are now more than 450,000 copies of the book in print in the U.S. alone. The book debuted at number one on the Barnes & Noble bestseller list September 8th and will debut at number one on both the USA Today and Indiebound bestseller lists on September 10th.”
