NPR’s Next Book Club Read: Fates & Furies

By Dianna Dilworth

NPR has revealed the third read for its new book club: Fates and Furies by Lauren Groff.

Each go around, the media outlet asks a well-known author to select a book that he or she loved. This time Pulitzer-prize winning Richard Russo made the pick.”It’s a dramatic read, believe me,” he told NPR. “The secrets here are character secrets, not plot secrets,” he continued. “They are revealed in ways that sometimes take your breath away. You have to wait almost until the last page of the book to get to the last of the secrets.”

Participants can send their questions about the book to NPR. Then next month, the site will talk about the book with both Groff and Russo.
