Back in 2015, the Nerdist team hosted a novel writing contest. Five winners were selected and one of the manuscripts, It’s All Fun and Games by Dave Barrett, will be published through a crowdfunding publisher called Inkshares.
Barrett first wrote this novel in 2010 for a National Novel Writing Month challenge. The story for Barrett’s fantasy young adult novel revolves around six friends and their adventures with live-action roleplay (a.k.a. LARPing).
This book will be the first installment of a planned series. The release date for the trade paperback edition has been set for August 2.
