Crowdfunding book publisher Inkshares has teamed up with Nerdist to launch a science fiction/fantasy writing contest.
Authors can submit their work now through September 30th to be considered as part of the contest. The top five science fiction and fantasy projects on the site will be judged by how many preorders the work has garnered even if they haven’t reached their funding goal. These five books will be published under Nerdist’s imprint. Here is more from the contest page:
The book selected for the Nerdist Collection will receive promotion from Nerdist, Nerdist branding, an exclusive excerpt feature on Nerdist.com, and an opportunity to develop their work into other media such as movies, TV series, and digital productions. All five winners will have their book published and distributed into independent bookstores, Amazon, Apple, and Barnes & Noble.
