Michael Dardia Named VP of Finance at the NYPL

Dardia (GalleyCat)Michael Dardia has been hired as the vice president for finance and assistant treasurer at the New York Public Library. His start date has been scheduled for March 28.

Here’s more from the press release: “At the Library, Dardia will work with Chief Operating Officer Iris Weinshall and others to oversee the Library’s fiscal functions, including an annual operating budget that is currently over $300 million. His responsibilities will include administering the Library’s endowment and capital construction programs, and acting as the staff liaison for the finance and audit committees of the Board of Trustees.”

Dardia has devoted almost thirty years of his life to building a career in finance. In the past, he has held positions at the SPHERE Institute, the Citizens Budget Commission, and the New York City Office of Management and Budget.
