Mayim Bialik has signed a deal with the Penguin Young Readers imprint, Philomel Books. She (pictured, via) has become well-known as an actress who has starred on popular television series including The Big Bang Theory and Blossom.
According to the press release, Bialik intends to write a book entitled Girling Up: How to Be Strong, Smart and Spectacular. The publication date has been scheduled for May 2017.
With this project, Bialik plans to “speak directly to teens about what it means to grow from a girl to a woman biologically, psychologically, and sociologically. Pulling from her own experiences as an actress, scientist, and writer, Mayim discusses navigating everything from first kisses and first periods to rocky friendships, family responsibilities, gender questions, body image issues, and figuring out one’s passion and place in the world.”
