Marvel plans to break up The Avengers in the Secret Wars comic book series. In the wake of this superhero team’s disbandment, a group of female warriors will join together to form the A-Force.
G. Willow Wilson and Marguerite K. Bennett will collaborate on the writing. Jorge Molina has signed on to create the artwork.
Wilson gave this statement in the company’s announcement: “She-Hulk, Dazzler, Medusa, Nico Minoru and other fan favorites, will take charge. We’ve purposefully assembled a team composed of different characters from disparate parts of the Marvel U, with very different power sets, identities and ideologies.” (via TIME)
