Kobo Pops Up In Grand Central Station

Canadian eBook company Kobo has a pop-up store in New York this week. The pop up shop, which is a first for Kobo, is located in Grand Central Terminal at the Graybar Passage near the Lexington Avenue entrance.

Kobo will use the shop to demo their eReader devices. At Book Expo America in May, Kobo released the Kobo Touch, a black-and-white eReader that operates through a touch screen. At the show, Barnes & Noble also released a competing eReader called the Nook Touch.

For a limited time, people that buy a Kobo from the Grand Central location will get a $10 credit for an eBook purchase in the Kobo store
