Kindle Scout Expands Internationally

By Dianna Dilworth

Kindle Scout, Amazon’s reader-driven publishing platform, has expanded internationally. The platform is now available in the U.S., Europe, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, India and beyond.

Writers can upload their novel-length English-language manuscripts to the site to be considered for publication under Amazon’s digital publishing banner Kindle Press. Readers can preview excerpts of these works and nominate the stories for publication. Amazon published the first titles to this press back in February. To date, 75 titles have been published from Kindle Scout.

“Expanding our platform to authors and readers outside the U.S. has been one of the most frequent requests we’ve received since we launched. With today’s announcement, we’re eagerly awaiting the great new stories that will come from opening to even more talented writers and Scouts from around the world,” stated Dina Hilal, General Manager of Kindle Scout.
