Author Dan Bodenstein is trying to raise $2,500 on Kickstarter for a children’s book about a young vegan.
Here’s more about the project: “Inspired by my wife, and on the heels of my first children’s book, The Tale of Eartha the Sea Turtle, I have written a story about a young boy named Steven who is a vegan. During a field trip to a farm sanctuary, Steven’s classmates begin to tease him about ‘eating vegetables.’ He proceeds to explain to his classmates that animals are his friends, not food … Steven also answers his classmates questions as well, such as ‘How can I grow big and strong if I don’t eat meat?’ Steven explains that there are many animals that are big and strong that don’t eat meat.”
