Grammy Award-winning musician Kenny Loggins has written a children’s book based on his 1984 hit Footloose.
The popular song, the lead track on the Footloose movie soundtrack, has been adapted into a children’s book story about animals at the zoo. Tim Bowers did the illustrations of animals kicking off their Sunday shoes and getting down.
“The meter of the lyric is a little tricky because the words come out so fast,” Loggins told Story Monsters Ink. “But if you’re familiar with the song, and most people are, you quickly get how the words are bouncing off of the pages.”
The title from MoonDance press dropped last week and comes with a CD, featuring a recording of the newly adapted track.
