Actress Julianna Margulies is working on a new children’s book called Three Magic Balloons.
The title is based on a story that her father Paul Margulies wrote for his kids. The actress discovered the manuscript after her father died. He had worked as an advertising executive but also wrote by night. Marguiles invited her artist friend Grant Shaffer to create drawings for the story and Random House Children’s Books picked it up.

The book follows three sisters who take weekly trips to the zoo with their father. Because the girls are so kind to the animals, a vendor gives them balloons that carry them off to magical adventures at night.
