Jason O’Mara (pictured, via) has joined the cast of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. series.
Deadline reports that O’Mara will play the new director of the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization. This position was previously occupied by long-time agent Phil Coulson (portrayed by the actor Clark Gregg).
According to the Marvel website, “Coulson shocked fans in the Season 3 finale of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. when he revealed the organization had a new director.” The premiere episode of season four will air on Sept. 20. (via Bustle)
