James Andrew Miller Inks Deal

James AndrewMiller (GalleyCat)James Andrew Miller has signed a deal with the HarperCollins imprint, William Morrow. Miller has been working on a nonfiction book that features an oral history of the Creative Artists Agency (CAA).

Miller’s book will be the inaugural title published under the new Custom House program. A release date has been scheduled for May 2016.

According to the press release, “Miller’s book covers five decades of CAA’s history and all facets of the agency, including film, television, sports, music, marketing, and its relationship with private equity giant TPG. With over 300 interviews already conducted, including the CAA founders and current leadership, studio presidents, network chiefs, producers, directors, stars, musicians, athletes and competitors at other agencies, the book will go into vivid, personal, and revealing detail about the revolutionary role that Hollywood’s largest talent agency has played in shaping the modern entertainment industry.
