Hyperink Commissions Books Based On Search Engine Results

The how-to book market is getting turned on its head thanks to a new digital publishing house called Hyperink that is using search engine results to create resource books. Forbes has more: “Hyperink generally does not select from books that are submitted by authors. Instead, the company finds topics that are in demand through analysis of things like Google search trends. Then it seeks out authors for those topics.”

To get these books written, the publisher pairs experts with freelance writers. The freelancers write the books through a series of email and Skype interviews with the expert. Hyperink founder Kevin Gao told Forbes that he can “churn out a book in a month at one-tenth the cost of physical books.”

The publisher already has a number of eBooks for sale. eBookNewser has more: “Hyperink already has niche titles such as The Best Book on Ivy League Admissions, The Best Book on Getting Corporate Law Jobs and The Best Book on Law School Admissions. Royalties are paid out to the experts based on their involvement with the titles. (For experts that want to write the book themselves they can get up to 50% of royalties).
