HBO has unleashed a teaser trailer for the Big Little Lies adaptation. Entertainment Weekly reports that the story for this limited series comes from Liane Moriarty’s 2014 novel.
The video embedded above offers glimpses of Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, and Shailene Woodley. Other members of the cast includes Laura Dern, Zoë Kravitz, Adam Scott, and Alexander Skarsgård.
According to Empire Magazine, this show “follows three very different suburban mothers whose lives are at a crossroads. Madeline (Witherspoon) is the alpha-mom dealing with her ex-husband and his new wife moving into her beachside community. Then there’s her beautiful friend Celeste (Kidman), who appears to be queen of the school crowd but finds that it comes with a price. New to the area is Jane (Woodley), a young single mother who befriends the other two but may be more than she seems…” (via Vulture)
