HarperCollins Now Selling eBooks on Social Networks

By Dianna Dilworth

HarperCollins Publishers has begun selling eBooks through social networks.

The pilot program is through a partnership with a company called Aerbook. The tool allows the publisher to sell its books on Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest on both mobile and desktop devices.

Readers can see a book they like on Pinterest and then click on it to link to the Aerbook site where the eBook is available for purchase.

Titles that are currently available for sale include: Trigger Warning, Getting to Yes with Yourself by William Ury; My Father’s Wives by Mike Greenberg; The Everyday Supermodel by Molly Sims; and The Swimmer by Joakim Zander.

These titles can be shared on social networks through Twitter Cards, Facebook posts and Rich Pinterest Pins, and the shares will include links to purchase the eBooks.
