HarperCollins Debuts Agent Portal

By Dianna Dilworth

HarperCollins Publishers has launched an Agent Portal designed to make royalty statements, U.S. sales data and anti-piracy information easily accessible to agents that represent HarperCollins authors.

The portal will be regularly updated with the most current U.S. sales data, broken down by sales channel, alongside estimated lifetime sales for a title. The destination will also include royalty statements from June 2014 going forward. In addition, the site will give agents updates on any anti-piracy efforts and take-down notices for the ISBN’s they represent.

“Our goal is to both fulfill agents’ needs and help them better fulfill the needs of their authors. We see the HarperCollins Agent Portal as a tool to help agents, and through them, our authors, gain access to the information they want in a timely fashion,” stated Chantal Restivo-Alessi, chief digital officer and executive vice president, International for HarperCollins Publishers.

Penguin Random House recently overhauled its author portal to make similar information available to its agents and authors.
