Glenn Beck: “We Sell Books Hand Over Fist”

In a long interview with USA Today, conservative Fox News host Glenn Beck talked about his new novel and his booming book business–both pitching books on his show and writing his own books with the help of a team of writers. As we noted earlier this year, Beck earns $13 million a year through his print operations, dwarfing the $2 million he earns from television. Here’s an excerpt:

Other titles that recently soared on Amazon’s best-seller list after Beck’s endorsement include Peter Lillback’s George Washington’s Sacred Fire and Andrew Allison’s The Real Thomas Jefferson. Beck laughs at liberals who, he says, “talk about ‘uninformed people on the right.’ We sell books hand over fist. I challenge you to find a group of people that read as many and as eclectic books as our audience does.”

Last week Beck unveiled the book trailer embedded above for his first thriller, The Overton Window. The trailer quotes Rudyard Kipling’s poem, “The Gods of the Copybook Headings.
