Emma Watson conducted a poll to pick out the July/August 2016 read for the Our Shared Shelf book club. The group chose Hunger Makes Me a Modern Girl: A Memoir by Carrie Brownstein.
The winning title received 763 votes. Some of the other contenders included Mom & Me & Mom by Maya Angelou, Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret by Judy Blume, and Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit by Jeanette Winterson.
