Mom & Me & Mom Cover (GalleyCat)Emma Watson has named Mom & Me & Mom as the November/December 2016 pick for Our Shared Shelf. This nonfiction book, written by the late Dr. Maya Angelou, was first released by Random House back in 2013.

Here’s an excerpt from Watson’s announcement on Goodreads: “Many of you may be familiar with Angelou’s 1969 classic, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, but that was just the first of seven works of autobiography. And, despite the length of time between their publications, some have referred to Mom & Me & Mom as a spiritual sequel to this first book. Angelou revisits episodes and people in her life mentioned in her previous works in a different context and all focused around her relationship with her mother.”

In the past, this feminist book club has read My Life on the Road by Gloria SteinemPersepolis by Marjane Satrapi, and Hunger Makes Me a Modern Girl by Carrie Brownstein. What books would you recommend to Watson for future selections?
