E.L. James’ Husband Inks Book Deal for NaNoWriMo Novel

British television writer Niall Leonard has landed a book deal with the UK division of Random House Children’s Publishing. Leonard is also the husband of Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy author E.L. James.

Crusher began during National Novel Writing Month and is the first installment of a YA trilogy. According to The Bookseller, fiction editor Annie Eaton negotiated the deal with literary agent Valerie Hoskins of Valerie Hoskins Associates.

As a television writer, Leonard has worked on several UK series including Monarch of the Glen, Wire in the Blood and Wild at Heart. He is currently attached to a new series called Air Force One is Down. (Via Shelf Awareness)
