Parks & Recreation actor Nick Offerman (pictured, via) has signed a deal with Penguin’s Dutton imprint to pen his second book. The publisher released his memoir, Paddle Your Own Canoe, on October 01, 2013.
The not-yet-titled book will profile 25 figures in American history who Offerman revers from President George Washington to country music superstar Willie Nelson. With this project, Offerman also plans to write about a variety of topics including politics, woodworking, agriculture, creativity, philosophy, and meat.
Offerman had this statement in the press release: “I am intellectually erect at the prospect of digging into the lives of this legion of disparate American heroes, gleaning from each the qualities that have made them champions in my eyes, and then passing along whatever gold or gravel I might uncover to the book-reading audience.”
