Deborah E. Wiley to Retire at John Wiley & Sons

wileylogo.pngDeborah E. Wiley will be leaving her post as Senior VP of Corporate Communications at John Wiley & Sons at the end of this year.

Susan Spilka has been named VP of Corporate Communications and her successor. Spilka currently serves as Corporate Communications Director. In addition to the responsibilities of her new position, Spilka will also oversee Wiley’s corporate giving, gift matching and citizenship programs.

Wiley plans to retain her role as chairman of the Wiley Foundation, which awards the annual Wiley Prize in Biomedical Sciences.

Wiley CEO William J. Pesce commented: “Deborah has left an enduring legacy for the Company that bears her family’s name. As a member of the sixth generation of the Wiley family, her unique perspective and deeply rooted altruism have played an essential part in shaping Wiley’s unique culture.”
