David Levithan has signed a four-book deal with the Random House Children’s Books imprint, Alfred A. Knopf Books for Young Readers. Levithan plans to work on two new standalone young adult books and two collaborative books with Rachel Cohn.
According to the press release, the two authors intend to write a sequel to their 2010 novel Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares and a new novel entitled Sam & Ilsa. The publication date for The Twelve Days of Dash & Lily has been set for Fall 2016.
The first of the two standalone titles will be a sequel for the 2012 novel, Every Day. The story “will conclude the story of A, a character who changes bodies on a daily basis but is always in love with the same girl, Rhiannon.”
