David Lagercrantz has signed a deal with Alfred A. Knopf, a Penguin Random House imprint, to write book five of the Millennium series. This thriller story follows a gifted computer hacker named Lisbeth Salander and a journalist named Mikael Blomkvist.
The late Stieg Larsson created these characters and wrote the first three books prior to his passing: The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets’ Nest. Lagercrantz continued Larsson’s series by writing book four, The Girl in the Spider’s Web.
According to the press release, the release date for Lagercrantz’s new book has been scheduled for September 2017. At this point in time, the publishing house has not announced a title for this project.
