Dario Fo Has Died

Author Dario Fo (GalleyCat)Dario Fo has died. He (pictured, via) was 90 years old.

The Guardian reports that the Italian writer and dramatist won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1997. Throughout his lifetime, he wrote more than forty works.

Here’s more from CNN: “Among Fo’s best known works were ‘Accidental Death of an Anarchist,’ first performed in 1970, and ‘Can’t Pay? Won’t Pay!’ from 1974. He also won renown with the one-man play ‘Mistero Buffo,’ an exploration of language, history and local lore that he performed more than 5,000 times worldwide over three decades.” (via USA Today)
