Copia Lets Readers Ask Author Questions Inside eBook

By Dianna Dilworth

The digital reading platform Copia is experimenting with a new function in which authors can interact with readers within the pages of an eBook.

To promote this feature, the eBook store is running a promotion for music critic Will Hermes’ book Love Goes to Buildings on Fire. Readers can ask questions directly to the author through the eBook.

eBookNewser has more details: “Through February 21st, readers who buy a copy of Hermes’ book through the Copia eBook store can use Copia’s free eReader app to pose questions directly to the author which will show up in the margins of the eBook. The author will answer questions digitally.”

Seth Kaufman, VP of Merchandising and Marketing, stated: “We are thrilled to have Will Hermes debut this promotion with us and showcase the interactive possibilities of our app. Will’s book is great conversation starter, not only because it breaks new ground in music history, but because it dishes on so many musicians like Bruce Springsteen, Patti Smith, and David Bryne.”
