Chronicle Books Partners With SFPL to Promote Literacy

By Dianna Dilworth

Chronicle Books is teaming up with the San Francisco Public Library to create reading materials for its Summer Stride reading program.

This year’s program features characters from Mac Barnett’s bestselling children’s book, Leo: A Ghost Story. The book’s illustrator and San Francisco resident Christian Robinson read alongside Barnett at the SFPL’s bookmobile at the kick off event this past weekend.

“When I needed a quiet space, when I couldn’t afford new books or a computer, the library provided for me,” Robinson explained in the program’s guide.

The program runs from May 7 – August 14.
