By Jason Boog

Singer and songwriter Carole King has inked a deal with Hachette Book Group’s Grand Central Publishing imprint to publish her memoir, A Natural Woman. Publication is set for April 2012.

Joy Harris of the Joy Harris Literary Agency negotiated the deal with hardcovers EIC Deb Futter. King wrote a number of hits over her long career, including “It’s Too Late,”  “I Feel the Earth Move,” and “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman.” In the video embedded above, King sings “So Far Away” while some guy named James Taylor plays guitar.

Here’s more about the book: “[It] will chronicle Carole King’s story from her beginnings in Brooklyn through her remarkable success as one of the world’s most acclaimed musical talents, to her present day as a leading performer and activist.”
