BookTuber Marta Botet Borràs Gives a TED Talk

By Maryann Yin

Marta Botet Borràs gave a talk at the TEDYouth 2015 conference about “the past, present, and future of reading.” She spoke about her love of books and her work in running the book-themed YouTube channel, Recomanacions de Llibres.

Borràs also discussed the “booktubers” community and how reading has evolved into a much more “social” activity in the digital age. We’ve embedded the full presentation in the video above—what do you think?

In the past, several writers have spoken on the TED stage including Newbery Medalist Linda Sue Park, Newbery Honor winner Grace Lin, and Big Magic author Elizabeth Gilbert. Which authors do you recommend as speakers for future TED and TEDx conferences?
