Belgian Teacher Invents Pokemon-Inspired Book Hunt

By Dianna Dilworth

Aveline Gregoire, a primary school teacher in Belgium, has invented a book hunting game inspired by Pokemon Go.

Instead of using an app with GPS, users need only logon to a Facebook group called, Chasseurs de Livres, in order to play. Gregoire hid a bunch of books around her town and encouraged Facebook friends to hunt for the books. Participants are encouraged to find hints on the page to hunt down the books. After they have read the book, then they have to return the book to another location and share hints on the group’s page and so on.

The group’s page already has more than 46,000 members.
