Barnes & Noble to Sell Self-Published Books in Stores

By Dianna Dilworth

Barnes & Noble has introduced a new program that will allow self-published authors to sell print books both in-stores and online.

The Nook Press print platform gives these DIY authors the tools to produce hardcover and paperback books for purchase. Eligible authors will be able to sell their books at Barnes & Noble stores as well as online. These authors may also explore the option to participate at in-store events such as readings and book signings.

Interested authors can submit their books for consideration to be placed on the shelves in stores. These texts will be reviewed by Barnes & Noble’s Small Press Department and one of the company’s corporate category buyers. Email nookpressauthors@book.com for more information.
