Barnes & Noble Launches New Ad Campaign for Nook eReader

Have you seen Barnes & Noble’s new TV spot for the Nook eReader? It’s kind of odd, don’t you think, to sell this seemingly wholesome product with a commercial that focuses on one girl’s literary journey as it takes her through being a runaway and participant in a love triangle?

This is B&N’s first TV ad in more than a decade. (Click here for the full press release about the new Nook ad campaign, called “My Story”.) What do you think of it? Is it better or worse than those scene-and-costume-changing Kindle ads?
